There were 47 Hispanic students enrolled in Laneville ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 11.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Laneville ISD schools welcomed 150 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 31.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Laneville ISD roughly covers schools within Rusk County and has a main office in Laneville.

Laneville School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 47 students in the 2022-23 school year.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
