How many students were enrolled in Carthage ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 2,674 students enrolled in Carthage ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.6% of them were boys, and 48.4% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 56.8% of the Carthage ISD total enrollment.

Carthage ISD roughly covers schools within Panola County with its main office in Carthage.

Among the five schools in Carthage ISD, Carthage High School recorded the highest enrollment of 800 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
