On January 22, 2025, Congressman Moran announced that ".@RepMikeCollins's Laken Riley Act is now headed to @POTUS’s desk! This critical legislation will be his first bill signed into law as our 47th President — fulfilling his promises to enact strong immigration enforcement. Together, President Trump and @HouseGOP are making America…" The act represents a significant step towards the administration's commitment to immigration reform.

Later that day, he reported on a hearing organized by the Ways and Means Committee. On January 23, 2025, Congressman Moran expressed support for border security measures through co-sponsorship of new legislation.
