Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas' 1st district, recently shared a series of statements on various topics through his Twitter account. Moran, who succeeded Louie Gohmert in Congress in 2023, has been active in addressing legislative processes and expressing personal sentiments on social media.

On February 13, 2025, Moran highlighted concerns regarding the speed at which previous administrations have enacted last-minute regulations. He emphasized the role of Congress in lawmaking and endorsed the Midnight Rules Relief Act, stating: "Congress makes the laws, the President enforces them, and the courts interpret them—but past Administrations rushed last-minute regulations at 2.5x the usual rate. @RepAndyBiggsAZ’s the Midnight Rules Relief Act restores balance by letting Congress overturn multiple last-minute..."

Later that day, he addressed issues related to tax enforcement during a hearing with the Ways and Means Committee. Moran criticized the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for targeting American taxpayers instead of focusing on international threats from countries like China. He shared his remarks on Twitter: "ICYMI: During a @WaysandMeansGOP hearing, I called out the IRS for going after American taxpayers instead of focusing on foreign threats from adversaries like China."

In a more personal note posted later on February 13th, Moran expressed his condolences upon learning about the death of Sheriff Tom Maddox. He wrote about Maddox's positive impact on their community: "Saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend, Sheriff Tom Maddox. His kindness, dedication, and love for the local community will not be forgotten."
