Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, recently shared a series of tweets addressing issues ranging from drug control legislation to celebrating local achievements and reflecting on national events. Moran, who succeeded Louie Gohmert in Congress, continues to engage with constituents on various topics.
On February 6, 2025, Congressman Moran highlighted the dangers of fentanyl by referencing data from the DEA: "The DEA reports that just 2lbs of fentanyl can kill 500,000 people. 1.3 tons? That’s enough to kill every American—twice over." He announced his support for the HALT Fentanyl Act as part of efforts to prevent the devastation caused by fentanyl and related substances.
Later that day, Moran extended his congratulations to a local music group via social media: "Congratulations to the Texas College Band on being featured in @KETK's #SuperBowlLIX ad!" Drawing from his own experience as a former high school band member, he expressed pride in the students' accomplishments.
In another post on February 6th, Moran reflected on a significant national event: "The 73rd National Prayer Breakfast serves as a poignant reminder that we must each pray for those in leadership and seek God’s wisdom and guidance for our nation." His message emphasized the importance of prayer and spiritual guidance for national leaders.
