Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, recently shared a series of tweets discussing various legislative actions and constituent services. Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974, Moran is an alumnus of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD. He succeeded Louie Gohmert in Congress.

On March 12, 2025, Congressman Moran tweeted about the House GOP's actions to ensure government funding for the remainder of fiscal year 2025. He emphasized that this would allow the President to continue addressing waste, fraud, and abuse while Republicans work on a tax bill through reconciliation. "Today, @HouseGOP took action to fund the government for the rest of FY 2025 and give the President the ability to keep cutting waste, fraud and abuse, while House Republicans deliver a tax bill through the reconciliation process that will have a significant positive long-term…"

Later that day, he addressed inflation and tax policy via Twitter. He argued for extending the Trump Tax Cuts as inflation rates have decreased. Moran warned against what he described as potentially "the largest tax hike in history," advocating for stability for families and small businesses by working with @WaysandMeansGOP to maintain Trump's pro-growth policies. "With inflation down, it’s the perfect time for more relief. Congress must extend the Trump Tax Cuts to prevent the largest tax hike in history. Families and small businesses need certainty their taxes won’t skyrocket."

On March 13, Congressman Moran announced an upcoming event aimed at assisting constituents with federal agency issues or casework questions. His staff will be available at Henderson Chamber of Commerce on March 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering support to residents of TX-01."Need help with a federal agency or have questions about casework? On Tuesday, my staff will be at the Henderson Chamber of Commerce to assist folks from TX-01 with federal agency issues."
