How many white students were enrolled in Longview ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 1,516 white students enrolled in Longview ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Longview ISD schools welcomed 8,274 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 18.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Longview ISD roughly covers schools within Gregg County and has a main office in Longview.

Among the 14 schools in Longview ISD schools, Longview High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 435 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
