Beckville ISD welcomed 686 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 686 students enrolled in Beckville ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 80% of the Beckville ISD total enrollment.

Beckville ISD roughly covers schools within Panola County with its main office in Beckville.

Among the two schools in Beckville ISD, Beckville Sunset Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 343 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
