There were 8,274 students enrolled in Longview ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.1% of them were boys, and 47.9% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Longview ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 40.8% of the student population.

Longview ISD roughly covers schools within Gregg County with its main office in Longview.

Among the 14 schools in Longview ISD, Longview High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,170 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.
