East Texas Charter Schools welcomed 136 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 136 students enrolled in East Texas Charter Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54.4% of them were girls, and 45.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 70.6% of the East Texas Charter Schools total enrollment.

East Texas Charter Schools roughly covers schools within Gregg County with its main office in Longview.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
