Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’ 1st district, recently shared insights and updates through a series of tweets. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Louie Gohmert, Moran addressed various matters, ranging from border security to community engagements and personal condolences.

On May 1, 2025, Congressman Moran commented on the reduction of border encounters, attributing this change to the policies implemented under President Trump’s administration. He stated, “Border encounters are down nearly 90% since last March because President Trump is doing what Biden wouldn’t do—enforcing the rule of law and working to protect our borders.” Moran further encouraged readers to access more information on his perspective through Breitbart News.

The next day, May 2, Moran expressed gratitude for the participation in a recent community event, tweeting, “Great turnout at our Constituent Budget Workshop! Folks rolled up their sleeves, worked through tough choices, and got a firsthand look at what it takes to balance the federal budget.” The Congressman acknowledged the engagement of participants from East Texas and highlighted the rewarding discussions that took place.

In another tweet on May 2, Moran expressed condolences for the passing of Tyler Police Officer Sam Lively. He wrote, “Praying for the family of Tyler Police Officer Sam Lively, who tragically passed away last week.” He also mentioned that he had the honor of remembering Officer Lively through a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Nathaniel Moran, aged 48, was born and resides in Whitehouse, Texas. He completed his undergraduate and law degrees at Texas Tech University.
