Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, shared his thoughts and activities through a series of tweets in May 2025. Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974, Moran has been an active member of the U.S. Congress after succeeding Louie Gohmert. A graduate of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD, Moran resides in his hometown.

On May 11, Congressman Moran extended warm wishes to his constituents on Mother’s Day. “Happy Mother’s Day, East Texas! Today—and every day—we celebrate the strong women who raised us and who still love us unconditionally. My kids and I are truly blessed to have a beautiful mother and grandmother who are the center of our lives and to whom we are eternally grateful.”

The following day, on May 12, he acknowledged National Police Week by expressing gratitude for local law enforcement officers. “This week, we recognize and honor our police officers during #nationalpoliceweek. I am grateful for the sacrifices and hard work our East Texas officers put in daily to protect our communities, uphold the law, and answer the call to serve no matter the hour.”

Later that same day, Moran highlighted upcoming legislative efforts within Congress. He noted an important session regarding tax legislation scheduled for discussion by the Ways and Means Committee. ” Tomorrow, the @WaysandMeansGOP begins marking up key pieces of the ‘ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL’ — legislation to slash taxes, and bring jobs back to America. @POTUS is right: Republicans must UNITE behind @RepJasonSmith and get this done.”

Nathaniel Moran continues to engage with his constituents on significant issues ranging from family celebrations to national legislative processes.
