Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, has recently shared several updates via social media. His posts reflect on significant events and personal reflections concerning his constituency in East Texas.

On March 22, 2025, Moran expressed condolences over the passing of George Foreman, a renowned figure from Marshall, Texas. In his post, he stated: “Texas and the world lost a legend yesterday. George Foreman, born in TX-01’s Marshall, TX, wasn’t just a heavyweight in the ring—he was a heavyweight in life. From Olympic gold to world championships, he made East Texas proud every step of the way. My prayers are with his family”.

On March 24, 2025, Moran attended an event celebrating Kilgore College’s history and its iconic Rangerettes. He remarked on the occasion by saying: “What an incredible evening at the Kilgore College Blue Star Gala! Celebrating 90 years of @kilgorecollege, 85 years of the iconic @KCRangerettes, was truly inspiring.” He noted it was an honor to share the evening with community leaders dedicated to East Texas.

Later that day, Congressman Moran encouraged constituents to read his latest newsletter aimed at keeping them informed about local issues and his efforts in Congress. He tweeted: “Read my latest newsletter, the Moran Minute: Keeping East Texas Informed & Serving to Uphold Integrity”.
