Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, has recently shared his views on significant legislative and political developments via social media. Moran, who succeeded Louie Gohmert in Congress, is a graduate of Texas Tech University and resides in Whitehouse, Texas.

On February 6, 2025, Congressman Moran announced that the House GOP had passed the HALT Fentanyl Act. He stated: ” .@HouseGOP just passed the HALT Fentanyl Act to give law enforcement the tools they need to keep lethal drugs off our streets. This bill closes a dangerous loophole that drug traffickers exploit to create deadly fentanyl variants.” He expressed gratitude towards fellow representatives for their contributions.

The following day, February 7, 2025, Moran commented on religious freedom as an essential element of American society. He remarked: “Religious freedom is a cornerstone of what makes our country great. As a proud defender of the Constitution, I’m glad to see @POTUS take action to eliminate anti-Christian bias and protect Americans’ right to worship freely—no matter your faith.”

Later on February 7, he extended congratulations to Russ Vought on his confirmation as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Moran conveyed confidence in Vought’s capabilities by stating: “Congratulations to @russvought on his confirmation as Director of OMB! I’m confident he’ll root out government fraud and abuse while helping to unleash American success under the Trump Administration.”
