Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’ 1st District in the U.S. Congress, has been active on social media discussing his recent appointments and upcoming events. Serving since 2023 after replacing Louie Gohmert, Moran shared updates on his role in confronting national threats, a significant Senate nomination, and local community support initiatives.

On February 4, 2025, Congressman Moran expressed his honor at being appointed to the Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He stated that he is ready to address the threats posed by the CCP which impact not only East Texas but all of America. Moran also noted his anticipation of working under Chairman John Moolenaar’s leadership. “Honored to be appointed to serve on the @committeeonccp to confront the threats posed by the CCP—threats that impact not just East Texas, but all of America. I look forward to serving under Chairman @RepMoolenaar’s leadership.”

In another post dated February 5, 2025, Moran congratulated Pam Bondi for her nomination passing out of the Senate. Drawing from his experience as a former County Judge, he acknowledged her dedication and expressed confidence in her capabilities as she takes on a prominent legal position in the country. “Congrats to @PamBondi on having her nomination passed out of the Senate! As a former County Judge, I recognize and commend the dedication it takes…”

Later that day, Moran announced an opportunity for constituents needing assistance with federal agencies or casework inquiries. His staff will be available at Daingerfield Public Library on February 10th to provide support for residents from Texas’ First District dealing with federal issues. “Need help with a federal agency or have questions about casework? Next Monday, my staff will be at the Daingerfield Public Library…”
